Lord Reece II Fairchild is one of the five powerful noble lords in the Northern Kingdom and is the Lord of Fair Haven. He is the eldest son and child of Lord Cygnus Fairchild and Lady Ellyn Ashford and the older brother of Orion, Regulus, Alphard and Gemma Fairchild. He is the father of Lady Cordelia, Lady Anne, Lady Alice, Lady Sereia, Lady Sophie, Lady Katherine, Lady Lily, Lady Ana, Lady Nyssa and Ser Reece III by his wife, the late Lady Leda Arwen. Reece was born into the Fairchild dynasty, an old and ancient Seraphin family and one of the Holy Divine.

As a young man, Reece served as a member of King Benedict's court where he befriended Prince Marcus I and fought during the Fourth Seraphin-Seraphim Civil War. Following this, he was knighted and during the 60s BE, he established an isolationist policy during the Global Celestial War. Following the death of his wife, Reece returned to court politics and served as a member of the royal council. Also during this time, his relationship with Prince Marcus turned bitter following the latter spurning his offer to marry Ana to one of the princes and as a result, sided with the Dreamfyres during the Uprising, which led to the downfall of the Galanthiyneus dynasty. After the rise of the regime, Reece served as Master of Justice on Abraxos I's royal council and once again proved his loyalty during the Great War in which he became enemies with his grandson, Khagan Drago II. He was eventually murdered by his servants, turn coats for the Rebellion Alliance.

Despite his children loving and respecting him, they did not always follow his dreams of what he wanted. In truth, however, his children sometimes resented him as they felt abandoned by his hectic life and being away from home all the time.

Cordelia, his eldest daughter

Cordelia Pontmercy is his eldest daughter and first surviving child. Like most of her family, she shared their views on Seraphin supremacy and disdained those inferior or unworthy. Reece eventually married her off to Lord Gerard Pontmercy, a powerful political match and to uphold the family's traditions. 

Leda Arwen

Lady Leda of the Arwen dynasty is his late wife and the love of his life. Despite it being arranged, it was reported by his brother Regulus that Reece fell in love with Leda "the day he pulled back her veil". The couple had a fruitful marriage with thirteen children, only ten surviving into adulthood. Reece was devastated by her death and distracted himself by resuming court politics.
