Matilda Vera (ne` Matthias Montenegro Vera II) is a supporting character on Circle of Five. She is the second blood mother of Kim, Olga and Valencia Vera as well as the biological father/blood mother of her nephew Nero Vera Jr.

Matilda is a member of the Vera Family, Hearth-Woman Family and Morgenstern Family via her marriage to Sonja.

Biography

Early Life

Matthias Montenegro Vera II was born September 12, 1967 in New York, the second son and third child of witch and housewife, Selene Vera and businessman, Charlie Vera II who was a powerful Nephilim warrior. He has an older sister, Effie (who was believed to be deceased) and an older brother Charlie Jr. Following his birth came eight sisters Drusilla, Helen, Cynthia, Sona, Livia, Julie, Ariadne and Thea and six brothers Milo, Claudius, Tiberius, Nero, Justin and Tomas.

After high school, he ended up marrying his sweetheart and long-time girlfriend Natasha Vera and their union resulted in three daughters: Kemmet "Kim", Olga Clementine and Valencia Margarita "Val" Vera. During his childhood, Matthias had a desire to be a woman as he felt he was "in the wrong skin". When his father learned of it, he threatened to cut Matthias off of his inheritance. Shortly after his wife's suicide, Matilda faked her death when her children were young. During those nine years, Matilda underwent sex-assignment surgery where she emerged as Matilda and plan to get revenge on her father.

The Oscar/Pablo Love Triangle

After realizing that Sonja didn't want to pursue a relationship with her, Val encouraged her to try meeting people the old fashioned way. However, after almost giving up as people made transphobic comments toward her, she meets a handsome man Oscar Alejandro who takes an immediate interest in her. Even after Matilda reveal she was transgender, he continued to pursue her and after a while, she decided to date him. The two were happily in love. Later, Matilda ended up falling for the family's gay butler Pablo Segura Alonso. This eventually developed into a love triangle.

Later Life

Matilda and Sonja returned back to the United States to help welcome Mattie and Cedric's third child into the world and to get Olga and Gabriel back together. She is also still in contact with Nero who is at boarding school in London.
