Arun Shusikar was born January 19th, 60 BE in the lower-ring of the free city of Lyos to a Lyosi father and a mother who was from Orinthos and was the oldest of fourteen children, all boys. Arun's father was a shopkeeper and fisherman as well as a drunk who abused his children while his mother neglected her children and stayed pregnant all the time. As a result of this, Arun developed a disdain for his father.

Belladonna Sindrillon lived nearby in his village and was the daughter of a shopkeeper, who was good friends with his father.
